Circular is an independent market leader in anaerobe biomass in the Benelux and has a strong controlling vertical and horizontal integration in this industry. Circular’s focus is encompassing by improving, and preserving the quality of service given by providing fast, adequate and tailored biomass solutions in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Circular Holding has set up its network of several plants with ample storage capacity to service farmers, energy company and organic fertilizer demand.
The Circular Holding Company
Circular is a holding company with under its umbrella a number of licensed and permitted anaerobe biomass plant companies that produce and distribute organic fertilizer and energy to retailers, industries, and households.
Organic focus: Circular focuses strictly on agricultural products, namely animal waste and agricultural waste and byproducts (together called feedstock) that convert to anaerobe biomass power and organic fertilizer through composting, which is in primarily manure processing of animal waste, primarily from cows and pigs. The business activity consists of the processing of liquid and solid fertilizers from pigs, cattle, calves, chickens, etc., as well as digestate to organic fertilizer, with the aim of processing liquid manure into some useful or sellable end product like green energy and organic fertilizer.
Company philosophy: The biomass, also called vegetation or plant residues, with which Circular works as a company, contains only “residual products” of organic matter. This means that we only process organic material which can no longer be used for human or animal nutrition.
From Waste to
Sellable Products
Circular takes care of the surpluses of agricultural waste by processing the manure for farmers to make it into a sellable product.
- Circular offers the best solution for biomass as mandated by the Belgian and Dutch agricultural and environmental ministries. For cattle and pig farmers, it makes accounting for a difficult to dispose of waste product easy to adhere to agricultural regulation and permits.
- This is a wonderful new solution for many farmers that had too much manure for their land to air and distribute on. Therefore, biomass capacity is in high demand. Circular is well positioned for growth in this market that is expanding rapidly.

The Circular
Recycling Philosophy
The added energy value of the sun is converted one-on-one into electricity and heat energy. Waste as biomass is the carrier or medium of green energy and organic fertilizer: Healthy soil nutrients. That is the Circular Recycling Philosophy.
- The output of CO2, water, minerals and nitrogen released during the processing are absorbed one-on-one by vegetation for the next generation of plant growth (Circular).
- It is not to be forgotten that the vegetation not only produces carbon that directly cares for our energy needs, but also produces oxygen that ensures the viability of humans and animals.
The Circular Green and Organic Philosophy
The green ecological electricity produced by Circular can be consumed by private individuals as green electricity on the electricity grid for a production share of 95%. The remaining 5% of production is consumed internally in the process to keep the Circular fermentation plant operational.
- Green Heat: The green ecological heat can be consumed by private individuals for a production share of 50% as green heat on the heat grid. The remaining 50% of production is consumed internally in the process to upgrade the depleted biomass from the fermentation process to ecological organic raw material mineral grains. This way of producing fertilizers in an ecological and 100% circular way is unique, since the classic production of fertilizers is known as a very polluting industry. When the green heat is used, the water from the biomass will evaporate in the air and a dry organic mineral substance will remain.
- Clean Water: The water particles (H2O) evaporate in the air and are used again in the form of rain as a basic growth element for the vegetation. (Circular)
- Organic “Green”Fertilizer: The minerals are used back in the form of high-quality organic mineral fertilizer granulates as a basic growth element for vegetation. (Circular)
- During the combustion process in the CHP plant, a small amount of nitrogen gas (nitrogen oxides) is also released, which is generally characteristic of burning carbon compounds. The nitrogen is used gaseously via the air as a basic growth element for the vegetation. (Circular)
